Accompanied by Jerry Leake (tabla/multi-percussion) and Blake Newman (upright bass), Manisha (vocals/piano/guitar) will perform two sets of music, featuring both unrecorded material and songs from her album, Peace in Progress. Special guests include Prasanna on guitar and Lance Martin on flute! Plus, spinning between sets and at the after-party will be DJ Sharaabi Kapoor's Dance Hangama, brought to you by Br. Cleve.

Manisha authored the Boston section of this 260-page collection of cityscapes and social commentaries that will open doors to new faces and places with an eye on the music scene, new voices in literature, emerging filmmakers, the realities of religion and politics, the tastiest eateries, the most progressive art and theatre, and the freshest nightlife in LA, NY, SF, DC, Toronto, Atlanta, Boston and Chicago. The book started selling at the LA Times Festival of Books in late April and release parties are being held in the various cities. Visit www.shabashguide.org for more information. They've done the research, so you don't have to.
